Below is the story that I entered into the Fibre of Our Nation competition.
A Little Bit of Luxury in The Bush
Working out in the field all day a man can get caught short; and the call of nature calls for a squatting position. Without the luxury of quilted two-ply then some grass or dry leaves can be used for wiping. Or scraping in the case of dry leaves! But discovering some wool in his pocket was a revelation for my husband.
The fine wool grown on our farm is usually destined for very high class Italian suits bought by Japanese business men for thousands of dollars. It is of the finest and softest quality, with a comfort factor as close as you can get to 100%. It is very comfortable on the skin - and has excellent wiping qualities!
What a versatile fibre is wool! It is perfect for everything from the highest fashion to the most basic of uses.
